The LapSnapper Transponder is used to identify the racer. All Transponders have a unique ID, the Transponder ID. Each racer at the race track must have own LapSnapper Transponder. The Transponder detects when the racer passes over the magnetic strips that are embedded in the race track and forwards this information to the LapSnapper Decoder using short-range wireless technology. LapSnapper Transponders are relatively small electric devices and they do not require any power supply.
LapSnapper Transponder is a small multipurpose transponder. It is suitable for wide range of sports, where the detection distance is less than 130 mm with single magnetic strip or 180 mm with double magnetic strip. For example it is exellent for RC cars, RC trucks, karting, etc.
